Role Summary
The Technical Cloud Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our cloud and data center solutions. This individual will lead a team of engineers, manage cloud and data center projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in cloud computing and data center operations, combined with strong leadership and project management skills.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud and data center engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support career development.
Stay abreast of the latest cloud and data center technologies and trends, and drive adoption of best practices.
Cloud & Data Center Project Management
Plan, execute, and manage cloud migration, data center consolidation, and other infrastructure projects.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Manage project resources, track progress, and ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for clients.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and performance of cloud environments.
Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.
Manage cloud service providers and vendor relationships.
Data Center Operations Management
Oversee the operation and maintenance of data center facilities, ensuring high availability and efficiency.
Manage data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
Implement and enforce data center policies, procedures, and standards.
Manage data center capacity planning and expansion.
Ensure data center security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Service Delivery & Client Management
Ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud and data center services to clients, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs).
Serve as a technical point of contact for client escalations and issues.
Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution design and proposal development.
Security & Compliance
Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to protect client data and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Financial Management
Manage budgets for cloud and data center operations and projects.
Monitor and control cloud spending, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Provide regular reports on cloud and data center performance and costs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in cloud computing and data center operations.
3-4 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Huawei Cloud, GCP) and services.
Proven experience in managing cloud migration and data center projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Huawei Cloud, Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, PMP, ITIL).
